On 9/7/06 I paid for a set of Team Dynamics PR 1.2's from SHO NUT. The next day Josh informed me that one of the rims had a scratch on the lip and that the TD importer offered $45 off for the scratch either that or it would take 10+ weeks for a replacement to arrive from England. Being me, I asked for a picture of the scratch so I could make an informed decision on whether I wanted to get the scratched one or wait for England.

Fast forward to today when I have yet to recieve a pic or the rims!! Initially I was told that they - the importer - were having a problem with the camera but I would get the pic. That was 9/8/06. My last contact with Josh was on 10/18/06 where he assured me that the camera was fixed. I asked him if they wanted to borrow my camera - literally - I would send it to them to take the photo and they could send it back. The worst thing that could happen is that they (the importer) wouldn't send back the camera and I wouldn't get the pic. Well, its now 11/03/06 and I still have no pic or rims!! Should I feel slighted I wonder???...............

Has anyone else had problems with SHO NUT? I thought they were a "reputable" sponsor of this form. After the experience I have had, I can uneqivocally say no, they are not. I'm hoping that will change for both his and my sake.

Thanks for listening.

First, this belongs in the hall of Fame/Shame

I have dealt with Josh and he has always been top notch. This is the first i have ever heard someone unhappy with his services. I am positive there is a reason for the delay.

TD and their North American broker have pretty bad reputations when it comes to getting things done when they say they're going to be done, like ship dates and things like getting you a picture. I forget exactly how long Fred H. waited for them to get him his wheels, but IIRC it was a SHOShop-esque wait, like 9-10 months.

Unfortunately, this is probably something that is completely out of Josh's control. Without knowing both sides of the story it's kind of hard to draw a conclusion, but knowing the kind of business person he is, I can assure you there's nothing untoward going on either.

Also don't forget that his email has been screwed up since early October, so it's possible he didn't get emails from you. You should also check your own email including your spam/junk mail filters to make sure that he didn't send you an email that you didn't read. He could very possibly be waiting to hear back from you on a question he asked that you don't even know about.

Yea his e-mail is screwed , youd be better off the CONTACT A FORUMS MEMBER thread of this forum.

Josh is top notch ,in my book , bought the cams and BBBs from him , fast shipping, and he always reply to emails within 2 days.

I've dealt with Josh about as much as anyone who has spent thousands with him and I've NEVER had a bad deal with him. Dunno what to say... I'll still keep purchasing from him.

Something unusual must be going on .. Josh is "first rate" and normally gives 110% to his customers.

Thanks for moving this thread to the proper category. I wasn't sure where to gripe so I posted in "General".

If something changes I will definately change my opinion, but the $860 the rims cost me didn't grow on a tree out in my back yard. Its hard to swallow not recieving what was paid for almost 2 months ago.

Its not my concern to take into account what a retailer has to go through for me to recieve my goods. Thats none of my business. I exchange my hard earned cash (that I worked many long hours for) for goods or services. I don't think a retailer really concerns themselves about what I had to go through to earn that cash. Thats not their concern or business.

That may seem harsh, but its the honest truth. I understand that problems arise in the supply chain, but it is ultimately the retailers responsibility to provide the service they are paid for in a timely manner. I did my part in the transaction and if the other side has to jump through hoops to do his/her part then so be it. Ultimately the retailer made a concious decision to go into business and offer the good or services of their choice, and with that comes a responsibility to their customers to provide timely and honest service.

I truly hope Josh and TD come through for me. We'll see.

all I can say is if we push the precious few (reliable) SHO retailers out there too far, they might be a litle more inclined to pack it up.

Then how much further ahead would we all be.

You can do two things here. Ask for your money back and move on or be patient. Either way, an SHO isn't a car for those who lack patience.

Let me start this first by saying that Josh is the absolute LAST person you'll ever need to worry about. He is more than honest and a very honorable business man.

I know full well that $800 doesn't grow on backyard trees, and despite what you believe, Josh does offer goods in a timely fashion and he does jump through hoops for his customers on a daily basis.

He made everyone aware when he started to carry the TD line that these wheels if not in stock CAN and DO take a long time to receive. Knowing that prior to buying, you and other buyers have to make the decision on whether you want to wait or not. You obviously decided to risk the wait by making the purchase. There's not a thing that Josh can do since he is at the mercy of TD and the importer. He informed you of the problem and the possible wait time involved and I'm sure he's done everything he can to supply you with a picture. Seems to me that he has been timely in responding and that he's been honest and up front about it. I don't understand how you could think he's been anything otherwise. And he certainly has not been dishonest.

Josh is at that the mercy of the importer and having dealt with importers personally, let me tell you first hand that they are not always an easy bunch to deal with. It's not that they don't want to be accommodating, though there are exceptions to the rule because some just don't give a rip. But their time to do "extraordinary" things is very limited. They aren't in charge of just one shipment at a time, their whole day is filled with tracking shipments coming from this place or that, where this ship is, why that one hasn't left the dock from origination yet, why this one is stuck in customs, when this one is to be unloaded, dealing with shippers once they arrive, etc. etc. etc. Many times they are just not able to go to a ship or loading dock, get to the specific load that your wheels are in, open it and take pictures. It's just not that easy. It could be that they did take a picture but Josh didn't receive it because of his email problems and now he's waiting for another to be taken. Who knows.

Bottom line is that Josh is an outstanding business man, he's honest in every way and his honor shouldn't even be in question. If you have the patience to wait it out Josh will come through, I've never known him to do otherwise.

I've read all the good feedback everyone is giving Josh and I've concluded that I jumped the "gun" with flaming Josh in an open forum.

I'm sure that most people want things when they pay for them,or within a reasonable amount of time. And when things don't arrive when promised then they get a little worked up. I got a little worked up. And its because hadn't recieved an email in a long time and thought I was getting the Bittersweet deal.. (sorry for those involved in that cluster#$%&). I've never dealt with Josh before, but I have high hopes and am now sure he will come through.

I'm a very patient person, and am more than willing to wait it out. I've waited this long, whats a bit longer.....????... Anyway, the cars in storage for the winter.

I agree. I think everyone is just trying to ease your mind, which seems to have been done. Josh is top notch in everything he deos for his customers and I am 100% positive you will have a good outcome dealing with him.

I just wanted to let those interested know that Josh has stood up to his end of our deal and everything is worked out. I got the picture he promised, and will be recieving my rims soon.

To all of those that stood up for him and his integrity - Thanks. Its refreshing to know that honesty and integrity count here on SHOForum and that truly means something. For that, we are fortunate.

Thanks
Rich
