I was under the impression that the tail lights on the SHO and the SLO were exactly the same. Is this true? After looking on www.carpartswholesale.com at the Taurus tail lights, they list the lights as "except SHO model". I am positive they are incorrect... can someone back me up?

Thanks for the response, but of the same year... I was wondering if they were the same. IE: I was looking at 95 only.

I don't know if it helps any, but I took my tail lights from my '92 SLO that were nightshaded and them installed them on my old '93 MTX no probs. Then, when I installed the SHO tail lights on the SLO, I noticed that the bolt pattern was different, but the needed hole was just covered by that seem glue/caulking ( I don't know what it's called?) So I just poked a hole through them & they fit right in.

So, at least the holes are there if you were swaping from '92-'93...I have no idea whether the '95's the same way, but you could always pull a tail light & check.

I think the bolt thing is year related and not SHO/SLO related. One type has 3 studs, and some have 4. Like was said, they interchange. This applys to Gen 2s, don't know about Gen 1 tails.

Gen 1 bolt patterns are all the same from 86 to 91 on SHOs and SLOs. There were 3 different styles, one seen on 89-91 Tauri, another seen on 86-88 LX and GL Tauri and the 91 plus (with amber blinker), and the last style was seen on 86-88 (i think) L model SLOs and i think the MT-5(you don't see those too often!!)

Well, I don't have a Gen I... So this does not help.

I have a 93 SHO, and had a 94 SLO, My SHO had a hairline crack, so before I sold the SLO I went to switch, The bolt pattern was different.

The wheels are photoshopped to look bigger. I'm going to have to get some new pics of my car and use them for my sig instead. I keep misleading people. :D
