It would just give you worse gas mileage because octane has no energy content. It merely inhibits combustion. I don't see any reason it would hurt your car in the short term. Can anyone give me any reasons why I couldn't try about 5 gallons or so of 110 octane gasoline in my stock SHO.

Yes but computer will adjust to some degree just as it adjusts to lower octane but you really need a tune to take advantage. And seeing how the only thing available close to me is 100 at around $10/gallon it's not with it unless you are doing a track day.Ford's website notes the advertised power numbers were on 93 octane. I guess there is no reason to go over this unless you have a tune and lagitamite need for it.
As noted above high octane is a slower burn/resistance to burn. Cetain is how easily the duel ignites.
Virginia Speed sells VP ms109 which is unleaded race gas...I have ran a few gallons of that with a regular 93 tune but I also have another tune specifically for that fuel which makes a very noticeable differenceThere is a Gas Station near here that sells 110 "Race Gas", I used to put some in my Harley from time to time just for fun. My concern would be most of them still have Lead which I don't think works well in modern engines. As much fun as it may sound "My Two Cents" I would stay away from it, without a tune to take advantage its not going to help so all you can really do is hurt something. LMAO But if your like me you will probably do it anyway.
