Well, for those of you that are unaware of the state of my SHO, I had a small engine complartment fire, but it was in a really bad spot, and now I'm left with my car inoperable. My guy at the shop just broke me the bad news today that my SHO needs even more stuff that I we had originally thought. He said I'd be better off searching for some good used parts than buying the new ones. I now need:

heater hoses (heard they were expensive)
a full engine wiring harness
MAP sensor
DPF EGR sensor
BAP sensor
fuel lines

If anyone has these parts that I need used, or know where I can get a really good price on them, I'd be eternally grateful and you'd be keeping one more SHO on the road! Thanks for any help guys, I don't wanna give up on it yet.

One last thing, I know a guy that has an entire '89 SHO parts car. Would any of the parts I mentioned work for my '94? I'm new to the SHO thing so I'm not too familiar yet.

If the '94 is a MTX, it should all work.

I know that the '89 had some unique aspects, but those parts should all work.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think an 89 (or any Gen 1) is going to have the DPFE/EGR sensor unless it's a California car.

The BAP sensor should work. Fuel lines I would imagine would work, though I'm really not sure if there is any difference between the 89 cars and yours even though they're both MTX. 89's had quite a few differences in them even when compared to a 90-91. No ABS for example.

I'm not much help here. Good luck in getting it all back together.

I dunno, my guy at the shop just told me I needed one. I'm gonna be down in the cities next week (18-20th) Do you think I could come pick one up?

The wiring is still all there on an '89. i.e. I run a 3-BAR MAP sensor to log boost levels off of the EGR sensor wiring.

That would work out good. I am actually off all 3 of those days. The car is in centerville that they are in, which is just south of forest lake on 35E. Give me a call and we can work it out. 651 755 6733

A big thank you to Minnesho for fulfilling most of my list of much needed parts. I think this SHO might stay on the road! Whiteman, I'll probably contact you sometime tomorrow about that sensor.
