Be interesting to see how the SC drive belt is routed, what with having to go around a 90 degree corner...

But for a hood ornament it looks great!

should whistle nicely considering the supercharge scoop is a Brita water pitcher painted silver. :)

It will work exactly just like the red switch did in the movie. Waiting for someone explain to me how a roots blower had a on/off switch. :)

The M62 used in some MB applications uses an electric clutch on the pulley to engage/ disengage the supercharger.

So, something like that, I'd imagine.

Lol so how does the air get in normally?

possbily the same idea as an exhaust cut out would work but instead its on an intake?

IDK there was a old guy up by Porky's in St Paul, MN who had a yellow something or other, that had a clutch for the supercharger, never thought to ask him how he got air in when the supercharger was not running.

Through the normal bypass channel I suppose, just like all the other Roots equipped engines do. The bypass is held open by the engine vacuum. When the loud pedal is pressed and the vacuum diminishes, that valve closes and the impellers/vanes take over the air movement duties.

Given that Mad Max is my favorite movie of all time, I think I just got an ********.

However, the close-up pictures make it out to be a bit cheezy. :(
