I need someone who knows the 3.0/3.2 series SHO engine to replace the rod bearings on my SHO wagon. I'm getting a bit to old (and sore) to lay under a car for the 2 to 4 hours that it would take to do the work, and the local mechanics that I know of would either screw it up or are reluctant to touch the car. It IS a conversion...but was driven for 4 years before my son roached a bearing.

Not sure how far Kevin (mrecoolgar) or Brian (area91) are from you, but they might be your best choices.

NE SHO isn't a terrible ride, and Kirk does do transporting.

Actually, I just finished a rod bearing job late last night.

Hadn't called Jerry yet. I was hoping (beyond hopes) of finding someone semi-local...doesn't look good though. Jerry is almost (but not quite) 2 hours away. While I do have a car dolly, that thing makes me nervous when I tow a car on it. Not that I've lost one yet...but they make me nervous...especially on a long trip.

On that note, if memory serves (and its been getting foggy), Area 91 is about the same distance...but I didn't know if he was still in the SHO scene or not...or if he'd want to do a "mudane" rod bearing job. Not much for racing on this car yet...

Send me a p.m.
I still do SHO work when I get a chance.

You're lucky you're close to Brian in Selinsgrove. No SHO folks in my area.
