I remember some time ago someone was working on a 2-dr SHO project. Whatever happened to that. Was it completed, sucessfull or not, how did it look? Does anyone know :confused: or have any pics?

that was the same guy that sells yamaha badges. last i heard he was shuting down the SHO junkyard but still working on the coupe project. can't remember his name right off, but i've bought stuff from him before... wait wait.. it was al fitz. that's all i know. :wave:

Yep, Purple gen 1 that had water only in it for coolant, and sat outside in the cold midwest winter. Cracked the block.

shouldn't have cracked the block, thats what the freeze plugs are for....

"freeze plugs" aren't there for that reason. They exist because there needs to be a place to get the sand out of the coolant passages during the casting process.

Very rarely do the plugs pop out in the event of a cooling system freeze.

I was going to say the same thing!

This would be interesting to see completed though...
