It's not the SHO you have to watch out for... it's Chris. And James. And Kirk. Especially Kirk.

HA.. Knowing James, he'll be the one passing out the beers.. At last years convention, i don't think i saw him (unless he was driving) without a beer or a cigarette in his hand.. ha

well I talked it over with the old lady

time to make a list of shit to do on my SHO and save up some money

DO IT!
Its a easy one day drive for all us Florida folk,it won't ever get any closer.
Start now and 20 bux a week would be more than enough to cover everything.

20 bucks a week for a year? thats alot of moolah. personally i will have a full rebuilt 3.0 by the next convention so i have time to save up for that. the heads are being rebuilt in a couple weeks due to a valve not seating correctly. im upgrading to bronze guides, 2000 lbs valve springs, and i will be doing research on porting on the intake ports to make a set of bbb and extrude honed runners worth the money. and are 1mm overbore valves worth it?

Trying to make a SHO go fast N/A is like spending thousands of dollars and countless hours on upgrading your windmill to be as efficient as possible but keeping it in your basement.
You could just move the windmill you already have (a very efficient one at that) outside where the wind is.

o well i will be saving 120 to 180 a week.... well i can buy a atx for 500 or so. or just build the 3.0 i have.. i thought it wasent worth the money to do a engine swap. my mechanic who is a very close friend who has alot of connections in high places and accounts with alot of companies for his buisness does work on my car dirt cheap. he helped me install my trans/clutch for 140 dollers since i worked on the car all night with him. he quoted me 400 in labor. he will plastic gauge my crank and send the specs child and alberts and get made to spec rod and main bearings. also rehone the cyllinders and re ring the pistons. also said he can get me custom ground comp cams for 600$ i am also getting my 2000 lbs valve springs from him. i am trully blessed to have a friend like him

shit ain't gonna be a one day drive for me I don't think. Unless I start at like 6pm and maybe get to the convention 10pm the next night lol. Sucks with the baby and constantly stopping, but we will see how things are in a year. Hopefully I can do 3 hours at a time between stops, thats about how long I can last driving nowadays, I'm getting older and can't pull 400 mile non stop runs anymore

Define "non stop". I stop every 90-100 miles or 1.5 hours, whichever comes first, for *****/gas. But, I also consider a 1200-mile day a full days drive. The 560 miles I drive from here in SW VA to home in MI is a chip shot.

when u got a baby and you need to stop every 2 or 3 hours and feed a bottle, change ****** diapers, or just let him out of the seat(kinda torture to keep a baby in a car seat all day) I don't see how I could possibly cover a 1000 miles in a day.

400 miles non stop to me means driving for 400 miles without shutting off engine and getting out of the seat. Thats like driving from north of atlanta to south of orlando in Florida. I seem to be able to drive longer distances once I get off of I-95 on Florida's east coast, that road is boring as shit. Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas are fun as **** to drive in.

When your driving and you stop every 100 miles or hour and a half, how long do you stop for?

As long as it takes to *** (5 minutes) and maybe fill one of the water bottles at the fountain, or gas up (a bit longer). As you get older, you also need to stretch the legs and keep the blood moving.
