It can... but with major vibration up front :bonk:
Can has had brakes pads & rotors all replaced and 2 tie end rods.
I've noticed that the back 2 tires are really wearing on the insides, while the outside is still in good shape. The fronts seem to be similar but not nearly as severe. Do I have an alignment issue (which I'm sure I do as it doesn't go straight when hand taken off steering wheel)? Or do I need to simply change tires?

vibration at high speeds could be wheel bearings, CV joints, or tires/tire balancing. inspect your wheel bearings and CV joints or excessive play or dryness. if those check out, try rotating the tires, front to rear, left to right. see if the vibration moves around when you rotate the tires. if it does, have the suspect wheel and tire rebalanced.

had the same problem with a saturn, it was the wheel bearings. the tires wore on the inside and the car sounded funny when drove. I thought they were a pain to put in but then again I mechanically suck.

Is a wheel bearing the same as a strut bearing :confused: I'm planning on putting new winters tire on in about a couple months - maybe I should wait to see if that fixes the problem...? I assume then, this problem doesn't have anything to do with alignment?

Jack up each side and grab the top and bottom of the tire and pull in each direction; if there is no play, you should be ok; then slowly spin the wheel and feel if there is any roughness. If you have not had it aligned, you will certainly wear out the tires quickly and it will not drive or steer properly either. well worth the 60 bucks or so.

Vibrarions are caused by a dynamic imbalance. Looseness in the suspension can allow the amplitude of the vibration to be greater, but the source is an imbalance.

Get your tires balanced.

I think that is my problem too. I don't think it's wheel bearings - there is really no grinding kind of noise at all. Also, this vibration is only evident above speeds of 70mph. It seems to be most evident on passenger front section.
