Anyone know where I can find (buy) a new or used actuator cable assy? Part # F6DZ9L492AA. Tried the dealer route nationwide (ford part system). I'm new to this forum and (relatively) new to this model SHO - understand this is a common problem and a hard-to-find part. Any tips and tricks much appreciated. Thx.

Local junkyard or you can also use the IMRC off a SLO that has the 24V Duratec motor also. One of the 4 bolts bolts don't line up on the valve cover IIRC, but I have used one before and it operates just fine.

OK - thanks. Looks like someone has a used unit for a decent price.

If you look about on V8SHO.com, I suspect you can find a good description of how to do the job. I do not remember if there is one there with photos, but there might be. Its not hard, just requires twisting about in tight spaces with your hands a bit.
