on an average track like say, Limerock or so, I'd bet $100 a stock gen1/2 on stock sized R comps would be quicker on lap time than the new SHO on it's stock sized tires (also on R comps). any brake pad and high temp fluid allowed.

Lime rock is a tiny track. You could probably go quicker in a properly set up miata than any SHO, but that's neither here nor there.
