I came home.. ate food and called my friend was going to his house in cumberland so we could wash car's together got all my stuff from shed and took left onto rhodes ave in woonsocket about 30 seconds from my house crossing into north smithfield in front of st. antoine (my work) approaching stop sign..

Well a lady in a crown victoria very very old lady.. was pulling out and car came from other direction so she didn't see me and pulled out slowly.. and still managed to make eye contact with me and not hit brakes. was rolling towards about where my door is and back door on drivers side.

I was doing 25 no more then less then speed limit and by the time I realized she wasn't going to stop I had no chance at hitting brakes. I hugged right of road floored it car downshifted spinning right tire in dirt :( and got a decent launch in first lol but not good enough.. she still clipped my rear quarter denting it and scraping up bumper.

I was ******... stopped in middle of road making sure she wouldn't just drive away got out of car and started walking towards her and was about to say "are you ok?" and she says to me "you were going so fast!" That really ****** me off, considering it was up hill I just left my street like a 90 year old man and was doing just about 25 by her. She gets out of her car and looks at mine and says "it's just paint" I said "paint's expensive".

Then I'm like u don't see the dent Im guessing? She squints and moves glasses around and feels it lol.. She's like it's fine and is about to drive away I say no no no I'm calling cops... So I got her to wait and cop took like 10 mins to get there sucked waiting there with her for so long.. I'm pretty sure person on road has right away lol so I know it wasn't my fault. She just WAY missjudged her pull out into traffic..

While waiting she was telling me "she don't know the area" "her husband usually drives her around" and I'm noticing that all 4 corners of her car look like they have been in a similar accident (haha). She could barely speek english and trying to tell me something about insurance and paying 500 dollars idk.. I don't think she had a clue what she was saying either she didn't seem very smart and could barely speak english. Cop was real nice guy which is a plus.

If anyone knows what I should do to deal with this the best way let me know.. I filled out accident report and everything cop said I'd get copy in like 10 days but I want my car fixed.. and I want it fixed ASAP! And I want it fixed perfectly...

Here are some pics...
(sorry these pics are so bad took them at nighttime..)

I would've NEVER shown those pictures around here...ever.
Those calipers are hideous!

why? I don't plan on selling the car... and those calipers are hideous.. that one is actually only about 3 months old the old one was leaking so I changed it. I'm painting them when it gets warm out. I'm gonna bring it to the most expensive body shop around :) I'm not paying for it.. Makes me want to get whole car painted though, really bad.

damn, that sucks man, I hate it when people say "oh its not fine" that always ****** me off. I had a women slam her car door into my buddys passenger side, I was leaning on the car and felt it through the car (i was on the drivers rear 1/4), and she gets out and closes the door and proceeds to walk away. Im like excuse me, and shes like its fine its not that bad, and then walked away again, my buddy is like w/e my wife's gunna be ****** this is a new car, for w/e reason he didn't care, I woulda flipped out though if it were my car.

Take the lady to small claims court.
Not sure what the insurance policies are in your state.
But in Michigan we have the no fault Insurance.
If someone hits you then you can take them to court.
the most you can recieve is 500 bucks.
To me thats worth it.

Oh here it works like this... I don't even contact my insurance I just go to police station get accident report copy and get her insurance info off of it and I call up her company have them send an estimator to come look at it if I'm not happy with his estimate I can take it to a body shop of my choice and get it fixed there and they send the check to pay for it. Because the accident wasn't my fault.. I made it alot less damage then it would have been (coming towards my door)

You have it wrong ..... this is what I would do if it was me .....

1. go to the po-po to get police report
2. drop car off with po-po report to ie: Providence Auto Body.
3. explain that you was not at fault / they read that the accidentis in your favor by reading report
4. get rental car for free - other ins. pays for it
5. they handle the rest (thats thier job - not yours)- ins adjuster goes to the body shop and works deal with autobody shop to fix car
6. get shiny new car back
7. drive happy

If you have a ins adjuster go to your house THEY WILL LOW BALL you to have the car fixed. Been there - done that. ALWAYS have them go the the autobody shop. Its the auto body's job to negotiate what goes on.

Once you have a adjuster go to your home to look at the car, they note it in a file because you opened a claim with them. If you then take it to the body shop because youdidint like what they said the first time - they will stick to it.

Do yourself the favor and just drop it off and let them worry about it.

Yeah, they told me that they have 9 body shops in RI for me to choose from that it is guarented like If I"m not happy they will redo it or something.. Or I can pick my own and it's just not guarenteed. Anyone know the BEST autobody place around? lol I'm hoping for a new bumper it's cracked about 3 inches on the bottom in the middle from the flex it used to be like a half inch crack until she hit me. I'm waiting till like monday to bring it somewhere I've been working on my car alot this week I'm trying to get my brakes nice nice..

Providence Auto Body on Silver Spring St.

Ask for Nick, he is hte claims adjuster for the shop. Tell him Ricky from up the street with the white Cobra sent you. They replaced my rear bumper and handled EVERYTHING for me when I was rear ended.

From what I hear - insurance companies hate it when your car is there. LOL

BTW - Make sure you read the rights section = http://www.providenceautobody.com/rights.htm
