Ok guys, you all have been a great source of info so I'm going to ask another question.
My driver's side mirror shakes while driving. Not the molding that is mounted to the door, just the mirror/glass part it's self. My passenger side is fine, rock solid, but when going down the road it's annoying...and I was wondering if anyone had any advice... boink headbang
Thanks,
Tmade

TMADE,

The mirror is mounted to the housing. Turn the mirror as far to one side as it will go then look behind it for a loose (or missing) mounting screw, or a broken mounting point.

Then turn it as far as it will go the other way and check the other side. If I remember right there are three or four mounting points.

If it is broken you will most likely have to go to a junk yard (parts recycling yard) for a "new" one.

Refer to a service manual as the removal of the mirror and bezel is a bit tricky. rangerj

Just to give you an idea of how common this appears to be... my '95 has always had this problem, and the '94 appears to have it now. I don't honestly remember noticing it before. BTW, thanks for the useful info. When I get to working on the cars again I will check both of them to see if I can fix this goofy problem.
