Serpentine belt replacement on 95 SHO MTX

Hello everyone, I have to replace my belts on my 95 SHO MTX. Can you all give me advice on changing the smaller of the 2 belts. The one that is drives the ps and water pump.
Its in a really tight location. I've never replace them, I had a shop do it when they replaced the timing belt years ago.
Instructions says to loosen the pulley nut and then back out the belt adjuster nut, and remove the belt.
I will spray the fasteners with WD-40 to help me loosen the nut and bolt.
Any advice and tips will be appreciated, the belt on the passenger side of the engine will tough.

Easiest way, go buy a 5mm hex socket and a really LONG extension, 10-12".

First you'll need to loosen the nut on the pulley, which can also be hard to get to. I don't believe you'll want a socket extension here, but you'll need a long handle ratchet or something similar. It will probably help to remove the battery/battery tray as working on accessories with it left in is pretty much impossible.

Once you loosen the nut, you'll attach your 5mm hex socked to your LONG extension and run it up vertically above the intake. Ratchet it loose until the belt comes off. Installation is the reverse. Because the hex key is so far below reach, the long socket extension is necessary.

Thanks JRA, I'll do that, I planned on removing the battery to also make it easier to change the larger of the 2 belts.

I think you'll need a universal joint on the business end of that extension.

IIRC, you'll have to remove the engine stabilizer as it goes through the middle of the 4-rib belt.

Not a bad job, just slightly time consuming.

A long 5mm hex, or a 1/4" drive 5mm hex + about a foot of extensions will get the adjuster backed out. The nut on the pulley is 14mm, and can be reached from the wheel well IIRC.
