Serial Numbers

Is Yamaha's name anywhere on the SHO engine? I know just about every Ford replacement part says Made in Japan, but I've never seen the Yamaha name or logo. Also, where is the serial number on the engine, and will it match the last six digits of the VIN number? I am just wondering because I was told my engine is rebuilt, and I would like to know for sure. Thanks for the help.

Someone posted a while ago that the serial number is on the block, near the oil filter. So it may be tough to see. I'm not sure how you'd match it up to the vin# of the car.
