Okay, its not really a -problem- problem, but as a newbie.. I dunno the answer. When do and how can you tell (sounds, vibrations, anything) your secondaries opened up? :bonk: I'm afraid to push it, so I really dunno when they open. I gotta get the 60k in it before I decide to "let it loose" :p

3950 RPM's the secondaries should start singing. (with the air silencer removed, you can definitely hear it) If your driving along you should feel it. If its parked and your under the hood, you can watch them open. :thumb:

Here are images of the position of the secondary actuator showing open and closed. I posted the link to one topic on the secondaries below, but you may want to search for addtional info regarding the function of these components.

One topic on the secondaries

Open, vacuum released, return spring extends actuator

Closed, vacuum applied to actuator, actuator retracted

hahahaI use to be the same way untill my friend got one and pounded the ish out of it for 8months and NOTHING broke so I decided to pound on my car all the time and 30K later here I am. nothing unusual broke went through a set of front and rear brakes, put ont the fronts about a hour ago and I used the gen 3 SHO upgrade kit and man are those brakes toutchy... I LOVE it!

did you take your silencer cone out? if not and you want to hear your intake do it.

how to hear them, drive next to a wall or highway divider (needs to be one your left side with the window down) and hit it so the rpm's sweep from 3K to 5K you will hear it trust me.

you will not see them open if you have a automatic because of the 4K rev limiter in neutral... oh and for the love of god keep your fingers away from them because they are really strong :D
