yea im not sure how exactly to fix this. but i doubt that by replacing the butterflys and porting it you will fix the issue. i would look into fixing it first before you buy anything. when exactly are they opening?

Check for base operation first.

The secondaries are normally open when the engine is off.

Start the engine and verify that they close.

Unplug the vacuum line and verify that they re-open.

If so, check the lines to the solenoid and the supply line to the small black cylinder, called the secondary accumulator, that is mounted on the back of the intake. If the canister clogs, the secondaries will stay open.

If the runners stay open, the car will be gutless on the low end.

Your secondaries are probably always open. There's an electrical connection to the actuatotor on the back of the intake (right next to the firewall but attached to the intake manifold itself). Make sure it's plugged in. If not, the plug is probably dangling right next to it. Plug it it.

the secondaries dont move from when the cars at all from when the cars stopped, till its started, and after 4000rpm. never moves. I belive they are stuck shut. Its not a dog at all at low rpms either. Ive checked all conections, everythings where it should be.

I had a problem with the secondaries when I first got my MTX. They were stuck always open, which is the position they are normally in until the engine is started. Try moving the butterflies by pushing on the nub. If they move they are not stuck. I replaced the Solenoid ; the canister and my computer, before finding that the last owner pluged the wrong switch into the Solenoid the last time he had the intake off. :bonk: Good luck!

Well if they are open when the car is off and shut when the car starts and runs like that at all engine speeds like you say.. It's gotta be either the actuator or vaccum related. Unless someone ordered a Ted Beechip without the secondaries opening. :laugh_ti:

Figured it out today guys. The car had sat for a while and apparently the secondaries had stuck shut. Sprayed em with w40 and moved em back and forth for a while and got em going. The car hauls ass again. Thanks for the replies :salute:
