Secondaries canister...supposed to rattle?

I was going over my 89 SHO and i lifted up on the black canister attached to the back of my intake manifold and it rattles, as if somethings broken...is it supposed to rattle? my secondaries kick in when they are supposed to though..

Uh nope. The reed valve holder probably broke off inside. I think it just holds a cloth filer so you should be okay for now, but you might want to find a spare one in a wrecking yard.

thanks for the reply..i started second guessing myself on what that canister was..thought everyone was ignoring the thread cus i was a tard..haha..i will probably pick one up tomorrow just to be safe..probably get it for a buck or 2

Still Have Burning Oil Smell After Replacing Valve Cover Gaskets / Could Oil Be Leaking From Other Than The Valve Cover Gaskets / I Have Three Sho's And It Is Prevelant On All Three Of Them / That Burning Oil Smell On Exhaust ?/ Could Use Some Help ?
On The Pasener Side / To The Rear Of The Valve Cover There Looks Like A Small Bottle Sized Canister / That May Have A Gasket Leaking On To The Manifold ? Is This Possibly The Leak ?
