do save lives. But I think my mother in law had more than the seat belts working with her. Check out the raw footage part. She is beat up pretty bad. She used to never wear a seat belt but my kids would not ride in the car if she didn't put it on. From the kids keeping after her she made it a habit, and for their persistance they saved her life.

She has 10 staples in her head, a few broke ribs, 4 vertebre thats got some chips but the docs said they wont have to surgury cause its on the outside of them and purple like an eggplant all over. But she is up and talking and they got her doing a little walking. Thanks Tom

Out of curiosity, what model SUV was that? While I'm sure the seatbelts DID save her life, the SUV not falling apart probably helped a little, too.

Glad she's going to be OK. That looked like the ride of a lifetime. Literally.
