How are you guys cleaning your seat belts? Mine have a multitude of brown and black colors on them and I am curious as to what the easiest method is for cleaning them. I don't have a steam cleaner so is there something else I could use instead to get all the crap off of them? I use simple green and water to clean my leather but I am hesitant to use it on the belts as im afraid that they will turn slightly green.

Halp!!

Spot bot with upholstery attachment. I use carpet and upholstery cleaner. Otherwise, a spray bottle with a 25% solution of carpet cleaner and a shop vac. Spray it, let it sit for a minute and vacuum it off with the shopvac. I would rinse it with a 100% water solution when done...just because they're seat belts and who knows what that soapy residue will do to the integrity of the belt.

Good to know that brake clean can be used as more than just a sedative :naughty:
