Looking for a head unit to replace my stocker.

here's my requirements...

Black/Dark face (no brushed aluminum or light faceplates please)
at least 20wx4 RMS 50x4 max
2 sets of pre amp outs with at least 1 sub level output
mp3 capability
a lighting scheme to match the stock blue/green EATC/Clock display or be green
under $250
detachable face/blackout anti-theft face

things that would be nice
sub level controls

things i don't care about
tuner
motorized faceplates
name brand (as long as it's not like Ghetto Soundz)
changer controls

any suggestions? i want something that will keep everything looking fairly stock. but i needs to be able to provide me with that bump in the night power our factory units just didn't quite have..

That was the first one I looked at, I did look at some others, but that is the only one that meets all of your requirements. I've worked with Clarion units before, and I'd have to say that they are generally pretty nice units.

If you still havent found one and cheaper is better then check this one out, I own it. I originally bought it from Crutchfield for $300 but price has come way down. It is great.

Heres some specs: BTW Dont let the price scare you, I have no idea why it has gotten so cheap.

Ive had several different receivers in my 93, from alpine to sony to clarion. I dont have any experience to speak of with the 645MP, but i have run the high-end ARX9170, DRX9375z, and DRX9675z (all requiring external amplifiers) and have never been happier with these decks. The ARX9170 was the one i was happiest with (happens to be the oldest one out of all of them, 7 years old! still in the SHO =P )

Clarion stuff may not be the cheapest out there, but it is some of the highest quality car audio equipment i've come in contact with.

If you go with the clarion, you wont be disappointed. There are several of the 645MP's on Ebay right now too.
