Hi, I am just wondering what people reccommend using to seal the rear lights with. I tried a search and it yielded zero results.

This is the last leak I have to fix — unless the power steering decides to go

cool, sounds good too me.

After I seal em I get to throw in the liner and spare tire cover I got to take from a 93 taurus (cause the ones in there stink, the car sat for a year or somthing....). I figure it'll fit close enough, seemed like a good match anyway.

You can check at fordpartsonline.com and/or some other OEM parts distributors for the tail light "gaskets". You can also do as many of us have, that is run a bead of silicone across the top and down the sides of the tail lights between the tail lights and the body. rangerj

I used ribbon window sealant. It's that black gummy stuff that they use to plug body holes and install some of the glass with. I like it because you can build it up to fill larger holes if you need to.

I'm assuming that you remove the tail lights, apply the sealant, and then reinstall them. Is this correct?

Removing the tail lights would give you a better job, ie neater. I have seen silicone applied to the gap without removing the light, but it looks like Sh-t! rangerj

PS the window sealant idea sounds good.
