SCT Crank Relearn

I noticed there is crank learn mode on my sct x4. Never really noticed it before. Cant really find any info online about it, anyone know what it does for this car?

check the motorcraft obd manuals. IIRC, it explains this in there.

Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure. But it may be totally different.

Typically it's utilized when changing any portion of the rotating assembly or driveline (harmonic balancer, clutch, torque converter, etc.) and essentially recalibrates all of the sensors and electronically balances the system.

I had engine replaced by non dealer. Something i should do?

if you're having any issues it wouldn't be a bad idea, definitely won't hurt anything if you don't actually need it

Anytime you reflash a GM PCM or replace specific parts you're required to perform a crankshaft variation relearn or it throws a dtc, I can't recall having to do it on Ford vehicles, possibly only applicable if "certain" parts are replaced. It's used to help detect misfires and typically requires you to meet specific criteria (brake applied, normal operating temperature) go WOT and lift when cut out occures to get it to run. I'd read up on it as it applies to Ford vehicles, but I couldn't see it as anything but a positive if it's applicable.
