If you want to reduce some HP drag, put a switch on the BAT light wire going to the back of the instrument cluster, a light blue with red or orange trace if I remember correctly. This will effectively open the ground field on the alternator removing it's drag off the engine. It of course also stops charging the battery so you of you really don't want to run it like that for more then a few minutes or your coils will suffer from the current and voltage loss.
