Without knowing your mods, or how much boost your pushing, Id go out on a limb and say youll lose.

Then again those texas guys are taking out 11 second cars so who knows.

edit: Your car isnt even boosted yet? Oh man.. Drive the car and have a little open road fun with it first. Break it in a little, and make sure your punched in right. If both of you have a clutch its anyones race I guess...

Is this a LC motor? Whos building it?

Buddy's Car 00' WS6- Lid, Catback, headers, tune=331rwhp&340rwtq.

This thing hauls like a monster up top with these mods and its good for a low 12second pass with a capable driver. A boosted LS1 i can only imagine the jet lag that would give. I got my bet on the LS1.

Boy, you sure love to throw that 450-500hp guesstimate out there at any oppertunity. ;) Your dont even have the supercharger on your car and your already making/taking challenges? Its your car, do what you wan't. In my opinion you should drive the car around for a couple weeks, get used to that extra power, the torque steer. Learn how to feather the gas to keep from roasting your tires. I hope a quiafe is on that list of mods.

i'm all for bench racing when its stock/slightly modded cars vs the same. Once you get into the heavily modified vehicles it becomes almost impossible to guess the outcome. Whos pushing more boost, how has a good tune, who has some sticky tires etc. etc. etc. Too many variables. Only way to know is go out and race him once your F/I'd .

Quartermile times on a track mean squat on the road. IIRC tony said he beat a c6 vette, thats what, a mid/high 10 second car? Granted from a roll, but i'm pretty sure vettes to just fine on the top end

Get the s/c on, get a feel for your car, race him, get VIDEO. :thumb:

With my experiences, it also has a lot to do with the driver, especially when it's a manual. While giving a fellow SHO guru a ride in my car to hear the new exhaust, I raced a "Z28" gen IV Camaro, and walked on it. This was in my stock '91+ with a Y pipe. He was definitely on it, as I could see his front suspension unload. Could have been a badged RS.

Another example was when I was racing an SRT-4 while I had nitrous (239 fwhp). We started from a roll, at around 40 mph, so I started in 2nd gear. The retard was cruising in 4th as he did the three honks, THEN downshifted on the third honk! He got crushed.
