Hit the brakes on my 94SHO last week and just kept right on going. Got a tow to the garage and found a rusted out rear brake line. Shop could'nt get one locally so had to have one fabricated. Mechanic said 2 other lines were rusted and should be replaced. Anyone have any information on the best way to fix this problem? I'd like to go with all new stainless lines but would welcome all suggestions as to best way to go and what to look for. If you've ever had the brake pedal hit the floor with no advance warning you know it's a thrill you can live without!

Do you mean the hard lines or the flex lines? I've never heard of a rusted hard line before.. especially on a 8 year old car.. ****, my father's 50+ year old pickup probably has the factory brake lines..

You're best sticking with the standard metal brake lines if they're the hard ones... if you mean the flex lines, get the braided ones from Jegs.. search for Earl's Hyperfirm... they're like $60 at jegs for the full set
