how come many SHO's rust in the same spot by the gas cap and not on the other side???????

built on an assembly line. they are all alike. Bad metal in one car means bad metal in all of them. This usually happens during the stamping process where the metal gets streched to thin in one area.

Also, gas if left sit, can etch or sink down through the paint.

eggs, baloney and other things can do bad things too (my friends car got baloney'ed)

that "silly string" stuff- don't know why, but if it hits your car, get it off fast!
