Running like a piece of junk.

My SHO is not running well at all. When driving the car seems to pop pr backfire or something at around 1500-2000 rpms. The car has lost some power and when it does this pop/backfire thing, it shakes the car preety bad and the car jerks back and forth.

I have no idea what's going on.

does it run rough ?Try varifing timming .Theres lots of things that will cause that on these cars

The idle seems to be alright, and I just did the plugs recently
and found no oil in the plug wells.

when you did your sparck plug wires ...my car used to idel fine but under a load it would miss fire and knock and all that stuff you said ....spark plugs arnt enough you need wires

What kind of plugs did you use??? From personal experience the only thing I have had any luck with are the specified Motocraft plugs. These are now replaced with a Autolite plug I believe.

3 of the SHO's I bought ran like shit after less than 5,000 miles of me buying the car. Guess what....the plugs were shot and they were NOT motocraft.

Try running the codes. Do a search on the subject and you will find out how to do it yourself with a paperclip. After doing that post back the codes you find and more help can be provided.

Yeah I put the motorcraft plugs in it. And I'll have codes up preety soon
