Rubber ant

Hi all, I have a 92 MTX and I want to replace the power antenna with the roof style rubber one(you know the style that the VWs have). I already have one. I was going to put on my nissan when I had it(till I wised up and got a SHO). I have a friend that works at a bodyshop and he said that ita no problem to fill in the stock hole. What do you think about the roof idea? Your opinion matters thumbs_u

The reception won't be as good as with a metal antenna (usually).

I have an 18" rubber antenna and the reception here in the flatlands is excellent.

I beleve the one I have is an amplified it has power and gorund leads. As well as the antenna plug.
