What is the normal rpms at 55 in a 1994 3.2L atx? Finally drove mine and it's running about 2100-2250 rpms at 55 mph. Tranny is supposedly rebuilt with 10,000 miles on it.I know a reg Taurus 3.0L runs about 1800-1900 rpms at 55. Thanks for any info.

Don't take my advice.
I think that's about right for an ATX, but I can't tell you for sure. It's definitely in OD at that RPM.

mine is at 2100 at 55 n 2600 or so at 70
and, after 15+ years, you will find significant variations in how tachs read and how speedometers read, so if your numbers are different by 10% or so, it doesn't necessarily mean anything because there is easily that much variation.
