Hey guys I've got drive a PP 2010 SHO and I just got back from a 250ish mile drive, almost all was going 65+mph, and a bit more in the open areas, yall know how it goes. when I got back into town going on the on the highway my rpms starter to flutter when I was going around 80mph. I was giving it maybe 1/5 throttle to accelerate and the rpms dipped almost more than it would when I'm off the throttle slowing down. Then when I came off the highway, stopped, started turning right the rpms dipped again then shot back up quickly to where they should have been for the amount of throttle I was giving it. I've only had this car for 2 weeks and this was my first long drive in it and I'm a little worried.

Possible torque converter issue. How many miles on your SHO, and what is the maintenance history on it? Engine oil, transmission fluid, PTU/RDU fluids, turbo-related hoses, etc.

It has 56k miles, it has had all scheduled maintenance done on time and had been gone through by the dealership this pass january before he traded it in according to the previous owner who bought it off the lot with all avaliable warranties. He's an older gentleman, pushing 70 and he said he babied it and rarely got it above 80mph

Well you can bet the drivetrain fluids have bever been done then. Begin by pulling codes from the PCM, the dealer or any major auto parts store can do it.

Its possible it just needs spark plugs, and may be suffering intake valve carboning issues. These engines need to be driven hard once in a while to help keep carboning at bay. Also, 2010 plugs are known to crack, so replace with Motorcrat SP534 plugs.

Throttle body issues are almost unheard of, but there IS a TSB out that can help:

Cam position sensor/wiring issues can cause the tach to flutter also, should set a code.

Yes, there can be codes set without CELs. There is a threshhold that must be met for a code to rise to that level of urgency, generally.
