OK so i just did valve covers on my 92 and when i put everything back together i had a huge whistle coming from the engine. Im assuming that i have a vacuum leak but i cant find it. The car runs fine for a while then will start idling rough. Also the anti lock light is on now? Any idea what the heck i bumped? lol i know i need to take it back apart to find the leak but any ideas why on the anti lock??? thanks a lot.

I remember i once bolted the intake down pinching the secondary hoses inbetween... Made a huge whistle sound that increases with rpms. Check those? they can easily get caught in the snakes.

FWIW my ABS light came on after a body shop put two fenders and a hood on my 95  I dont know if they are just THAT sensitive or if its easy to mess them up without knowing it.

As for the whistling I agree with LJ, check all the little hoses and what not and make sure they arent pinched.

If it's a HUGE whistling, then it's probably the big vacuum line at the back passenger side of the plenum. I forgot to hook that one up when I did my valve covers as well, and the noise nearly made me deaf. That vacuum line feeds the brake booster and a few other things, and it will most definitely run ****** until you fix it! Also, make DAMNED sure you hook the big ol' ground strap that goes on the intake support bracket that's next to the vacuum line. The car will just randomly die on you if you don't. Ask me how I know this :naughty:.

ok so i just pulled the intake back off and checked everything. i think i need new vacuum lines. now it seems to be ok but it still will idle down to like 500 rpms for a minute and run rough then it picks back up. other than that i drove it last night for a while and it ran fine.
