About 3 weeks ago I posted the following:

1. When the car is up to normal operating temperature and with either the AC, Defroster, or Climate control on, when the AC compressor turns on, the car all but shuts off. The idle will drop down momentarily to about 450 to 550 RPM range, the RPM’s will then kick up to around 1200 and then this cycle repeats and will continue as long as the EATC is in either of these positions. This does not happen when all other accessories are on ie … lights, rear window defogger, fog lights. Does this sound like a alternator/charging system problem or perhaps a AC compressor drawing too much load or some sensor not picking up the idle speed when the unit kicks in.

Since then I have reset the idle by doing the following: "Disconnect the Neg side of the battery, turn on the headlight switch for 15 minutes, turn off the headlight switch, start the car, let run for 25-30 seconds, turn on all accessories and turn the wheels left to right."

This procedure does work, but after 4 days or I have to do it all over again. Any ideas as to why this may be happening? Other than this I don't have any problems with the car. This is just annoying as ****, but I can live with it if I have too, but would rather solve the problem!

Thanks!

I'm thinking either the EEC is losing its memory or the idle air control valve is not functioning properly. Run the EEC test to see if there are any codes for memory test failure. If not, then it is probably the IAC valve that needs cleaning or replacing.
