rod clearence

When you install new rod bearings what should they be. I see people say 9 thousands to 22 thousands that does not sound right. Can someonne help me

I think helms is .0009" to .0022" is spec, up to .003 is acceptable (worn) IIRC.

typically with no crank or rod work done, std size replacements from clevite come out to pretty much .002"
