The dash covers they have listed fit the 1st generation cars. Exact same thing as the one in the link above. Scroll down to see how it looks installed.

Not sure if Coverlay made a cap for 2nd generation cars.

Did a search and came across a seller on Ebay that has caps for all model years from '86 to '95.

great! I might be interested in the brushed or Sedona suede.

I was thinking on paiting the dash, but this might do it :)

Thanks! That's cheaper than the other prices I was seeing! I will be ordering one when I have the suspension on the 89 finished this summer!

It looks like the dash cap for the Gen2 doesnt have the cutout for the passenger airbag or maybe I saw the pic wrong?

Right, I just noticed the same thing. The passenger airbag wasn't standard until '94 or '95 IIRC, so some didn't come with it.

mmh.. that explains then. Mine does have a passenger airbag and is a 94.

I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to make the cutout ourselves and then glue rectangle piece on top of the airbag cover... but I think that would be to risky in case the airbag activates and sends that piece of plastic flying. (of course knock on wood we never see the need for the airbag to deploy)

I think I will go for the suede/cloth cover, even if it doesn't have the cutout it'd be "best" to have a piece of cloth on top of the airbag than a piece of plastic

The airbag actually comes with the cover part that you see attached to it and is a special rubber like material with cuts on the back so it tears and opens in a certain way for the airbag to deploy. If you're changing the color of your dash, my best recommendation would be to paint or dye the original airbag, as long as it's not too thick or elastic to alter how the cover opens under deployment.

Here's mine. Ignore the loose bezel trim and in the 2nd photo (taken just now), I'm going to have to re-glue some areas and hold them down with a C-clamp. You may have to trim/dremel around certain areas and be sure it seats correctly. I'm sure I could have Gorilla glued it vs. use clear silicone like they say, but I wanted the ability to pull it back up and re-seat it in the event that it started doing what it is now. I used some NOS Ford Dark Titanium interior paint that I got a hold of. Had I put a 2nd coat on the dash cover, it would have matched perfectly. I also did my sunroof shade (scraped off the cloth and just painted the plastic). Since I did 2 coats of paint for that, it came out to match the lower dash exactly. I don't think I have enough to recoat the dash cover though.

well guys, I found a dashboard cover for Gen2 cars WITH the airbag cutout on the passenger side, if anyone is interested getting rid of the cracked dash look. ($144 though)

Has anyone ordered anything from Dashtop, are they good quality? I am very interested in getting this plastic cover.

Also, looks like my gray interior is almost the same color as their Presidio 15163 color. What you guys think??
