It censored the word “dead” on an earlier post of mine .

My .02 is Rockauto is al around awesome for what it is. If your going to spend money with them it’s up to you to understand the business model.

A metaphor for the thread would be like demanding McDonald’s serves 5 star food at normal prices, just isnt going to happen!

Oh, I'm tired of this thread! Rock Auto is Awesome!
But, you have to know what you want going in.

And something like a battery is the last forking thing I would buy there.

Would you like some cheese with your forking whining?

And this Zuckerberg ****** deletion of words is bullshorts!

Forking and bullshorts were Edited to comply with the ****** dictates. Facebook is bad enough, now the Forum is censoring speech?
Apparently stating the truth is whining and you have the nerve to speak of censorship in the same rant.

I'm not sure which is better the mcdonalds reference or your rant. Why don't you go pound salt in your ******* and tell me how it feels?

After having rock auto refuse to refund me hundreds of dollars in core charges for parts that were allegedly in "the wrong box" I've just gone back to local.

Much happier overall and have the stuff right away. It's really not even that much cheaper. And in situations where they steal your core money it's actually way more expensive.

It is all situational. I wanted to go local this weekend because I had the time and wanted the brake job on the ****** done right away. Pads locally were $30-40. RockAuto ceramic brake pads with 2 rotors $39.97. No core, minimal shipping after the 5% coupon code. Can't justify throwing away $100 to go local.

This DEKA battery I bought from them went bad in less than 6 months. The warranty/replacement unit they shipped me just arrived and the negative post is bent, bad, and both posts look like they've been beaten with a freaking hammer. These assclowns are charging me shipping and there is nowhere I can find to actually speak with anyone. ***? Does anyone have an actual contact number or email address for them? I'm so ****** right now.
Sorry to hear that, I just received two batteries from them that were almost 10 years old. Sad thing is that in a month the AC Delco date codes will read like they're brand new, since AC Delco only uses one digit for the year code. Their solution? Send it back and replace an order....again...Serial Numbers from the two almost 10 year old batteries are the following if you are brave enough to order from Rock Auto:

Date Codes: G032R
Serial numbers: 27576 and 31573

As someone else mentioned, probably best to go local, like I should've.

Again, I've been very happy with Rock Auto over many years. That said, it's never crossed my mind to ever consider buying a new battery from them
