What size aftermarket rim's are you using? Also, what colors of rim's are you folks using?

I'm going to keep the stock rims. I will want an additional set for everyday driving and show. I think I'm getting a white sedan. I already have RED RIM's that I ordered for a new Ford Maverick, but, when it arrived at the dealership where my father and sister were working at, I backed away from it since Ford likes to make almost everything inside a navy blue color. Damn FMC.Stock is typically 16x6.5. One car I keep it stock, so running OEM chromies.
On the other car I needed some more space for the brake upgrade, so I went with a step up to 17x8. My goal was to keep the wheels from Sticking out too far while increasing my contact patch so my offset is 45. However, if I were to do it again, I'd stick out a bit more to give more clearance for the suspension and probably go with a 35 the next time. I had to use 10mm spacers on the rears to get the tires to fit with the upgraded suspension as the locking rings were rubbing against the tires and thats after grinding the rings down to just before smooth.
The front actually fit fine with 5mm spacers.
Just depends on what you are going for. I like more brake showing so I had a 6 spoke Gun Metal gray.
I believe you can get 18's under without having to roll the fenders.
Nice! Hope the paint job matches the bling of those RIMs. Most clearcoats have been tarnished. Plus many are struck by the OEM issues of water lifting the clearcoat if they had the outside life.I'm going to keep the stock rims. I will want an additional set for everyday driving and show. Here are the rim's that I have sitting in storage. I don't think those rims will look right on a 3rd gen SHO.
I have a very good friend who owns a body shop in the town I reside in. I'm sure I will have him repaint the sedan in a short period of time. I just have to figure out the rims that I want.Nice! Went with Volvo rims refurb, and TPMS sensors aftermarket, posted here: https://shoforum.com/threads/new-shoes-for-gen3-sho.146049/What size aftermarket rim's are you using? Also, what colors of rim's are you folks using?
I haven't been on these forums in years but still get the emails and check every third gen post that comes across it. I know my SHO wasn't everyone's cup of tea but I ordered a set of wheels and got sent the ones in the photo in error. Ended up keeping them. Everyone liked it in person but I wasn't the biggest fan other than being a kid and being different.Stock is typically 16x6.5. One car I keep it stock, so running OEM chromies.

I've seen this photo so many times by doing random Google searches. I used this photo as one of my examples when I was searching for my cowl hood.I haven't been on these forums in years but still get the emails and check every third gen post that comes across it. These were 18x8. No idea on offset. It was lowered with Eibachs and the SHOsource KONIs when they came out with them. It didn't rub or require the fenders to be rolled.
Yeah, There was a company shilling hoods, don't know if legitimate or not, with my picture. Which if they asked I would have gotten them a better picture than my shed and busted pool in the background. Those wheels were garbage and cracked 2 of them. Still have them as a spacer to keep stuff off my basement floor. It lived most of its life on stock wheels.I've seen this photo so many times by doing random Google searches. Hopefully it won't look like this:Well, here is the SHO I flew up to Austin, TX, bought, and drove back to the Rio Grande Valley yesterday!!!! Not bad for $2,500!!! It drove well. I left it at my friends place yesterday so I can do some maintenance things to it. Oil Change, trans fluid change, new battery install, wiper blades and a few other things. I even went straight an O'Reilly store, in Austin, to put some Royal Purple FIC in to help waken things up.
Soon, I will go and by new tires for those stock rims. soon after, I will find some aftermarket rims and tires for it. I'm thinking about getting a bronze colored rims for it. I don't think these RED Rim's look all that hot on it. LOL It will stand out a lil too much.
No. I have those red rims for sale, on Facebook.Hopefully it won't look like this:
I have those rims for sale on Facebook. I bought those for a new Ford Maverick I had ordered. I didn't end up buying it when it came in. They would fit either my SHO, or, the Mazda Millenia S that I have. BUT, I'm just going to sell them.Meh, toss the red rims on for giggles and see how it looks IRL. 'Ya never know.
