I still doubt about that PP .2 or.3. I am in the 12.7's with no meth and I will probably see the 12.5's within the next few weeks... No PP and no meth... 20's OEM heavy mags, my fat 200 lbs+ body (lol!)... Unless the meth only cotributes for a .2 or .3... I would really like to see a non-PP sotck beside a PP at the track under same conditions and have them run both lanes a few times, side to side and see for real, what the PP adds in terms of performance... I say maximum one tenth...Bwahahahaha :laugh_ti:
Then you should try and fit: Chas'n 1stSHO
Boy, at this rate, with all of us chasing each other around (and inevitably Darrell leading the pack..... there sure will be an awlful lot of SHO's involved!
Almost like a caravan..... instead of Smokey & The Bandit, it can be Bpd and the ?????
But yes, funny you were mentioning track time and who would be where etc. Steve.
I had inclinations to get to the track this Fall, but with the delays and nonsense with my Meth Kit and an upcoming exhaust mod, unfortunately I don't anticipate get'n it all done and ready to roll this year.
So Spring of 2012 for sure.
I told Darrell, since he has the PP gearing, he'll still have .2 - .3 over me.
But I'll be close, that's for sure.![]()
Nice threadjack....
Back on topic - can those who ran snow/ice tires on their SHO's PLEASE post comments including size/brand? Living in Iowa I am going to need something other than the Eagle F1's here in the next couple months....

I run snow tires on all my cars. Any snow tire you buy is going to perform better than the best all season or summer tire in the snow. Of the 5-6 different tires i've tried, the Blizzaks have been the best so far. Just buy them and even think twice. You will thank me in December.
Look post#23 from Darreli. I am sure the Blizzaks are very good, but apparently the Michelin do a good job on 18'S... Personnaly, I think I will go with Nokian, I good a very good eal at a store nearby and will put them on 18's plain black steel wheels... 267$ a tire plus 80$ per wheel plus install = 1500$... I was considering using my 20's OEM for winter and buy lighter weight mags for next summer... But when I saw the price for 10's winter tires, I imediately changed my mind (440$ a tire plus tax plus intsall!!!). Plus, if you hit a pothole, you end up having to pay 300$ for mag repair and 440$ for a new tire.. no way!So...which Blizzaks are you running on your SHO? What size wheels and tires did you go with?
I am very familiar with Blizzaks - ran them on my '95 Mustang GTS. They are pricey though - wondering if they are worth the $100/tire premium over say the Goodyear Ultra Grip WRT's?
TIA for your reply

I just installed 18" Drag dr-35 flat black wheels with Blizzak ws70 snow tires. Tire size is 225/60/18. Dry pavement handling is awesome, but they ride a little bouncier and handling feels different as well, but they are not by any means. Im sure they will perform awesome in the snow and ice.

???I paid $1,200 for mine. $1,400 just seems high. However I have heard good things about Nokian snow tires.
???
1,400? 267$ per tire for a total of 1068$ for the tires alone... Not to bad for Nokian. regular price is supposed to be356$ each and my friend that has an S4 2005 has been driving those for the past years and recommended them strongly... Because of the deal I got, I will go with the Nokian, if not Blizzak was my second choice, good comments, review and your recommendation on top of all! ; )
Cheers!
Steve

So my plan went in the water... no more undercover cop look to save money. I was at my dealer today and I was speaking to my sales rep while I was waiting for my car for some little rattle issue and I told him about my intentions and he told me he had a colleague that had a client that just returned hs SHO for another vehicle. Now when they sold back the SHO last week, the new buyer wanted the OEM 20's and not the aftermarket 20's the old client had bought originally with the car. He ran 3 months on the BLIZZAK LM60 245-45-20... They look brand new. The mags are from FAST WHEELS CANADA and are chromed 20's model Madonna. They look nice and like new also. They have the sensors. The client had paid 4K... I offered 1500$, the vendor said no... then he said let's flip a coin : head you pay 1500, tail 1700... I lost so I paid 1700$... which is about was I was about to pay to equip on 18's! Not too bad, here are some pics :I run snow tires on all my cars.
