Damn you guys, I am saving for those rims for my Rice mobile... :p

Also, at home I have a blue SHO picture with those rims on them. I will post it when I get home.

Found it...

Not sure who owns this car, but I believe they are Rim2000's in silver.

That's DeaconBlue's car, Dan. Speaking of saving money...why don't you save your money to buy a real ride? ...ok I'm kidding. Even if it isn't the fastest thing on the road, my parents have a new Passat and my friend a new 1.8t J IV, so I'm well aquainted with how nice VWs are. They're nice whether you're racing SHOs or neons. Those Borbet wheels are on the heavy side, but they do look good, I can definitely attest to that.

Tony

You can see a Blue SHO in March when we BAYSHOers go down to Pinnacles. Keep your eyes open for an email in the next couple of days ...

Dave Kegel:
Those are Borbet Type E, 17x8 wheels. Same as I have.

Dave are you signed up on SHOCAGO.COM? If so, are you attending the first big meet of the year tomm?

About the rims, they sure do look the same. Maybe the difference is in the weight. shrug

About my car. It sure is slow, handles like ****, and brakes like a locomotive, but it sure does look purty. I am still saving for a GTI 1.8t(keeps fingers crossed). I want that to be my hotrod. (12's anyone? wink ) Owning one is still a long time away. Might have enough for the anniversary edition by the time I can afford one. :)

Well you got your sites set on the right kind of car. You know, you're right about the suspension. My friends Jetta flops around an AWFUL lot. It's a nice ride though, and it has heated seats! Being from Chi-town I know you feel me there. A nice ride and heated seats are two things my SHO does NOT have.

You should get a Jetta TDI. They might not be the fastest thing in the world, but the CAN be modded, and how can you beat 40+ mpg in the city??
