What cam's you running? ^^ sounds great

That's Paul/Ashley's car. I recognize the shop, car, license plate. I've ridden in that car and it sounds great from in the car, especially under load
It's raspy, which I don't like at all, but it's pushing near 400 hp so it's got the beef to back up the noise.

I've used the Summit Turbos on two SHOs and liked them. Deep at idle, and not raspy under load.

They're 2 1/4 inlet, so an adapter is needed to get them onto your stock piping, but any muffler shop should be able to handle that easily. Only problem is, they seem to have gone up in price since I bought them last.

Cherry Bomb also makes turbo mufflers, here's what you need: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/IMM-16805/

Much lower priced, and will give the same sound as the Summit Turbo. Any turbo style muffler will give you the same basic sound, regardless of brand.

On my 92, I used two Autozone budget mufflers that were listed for a 92 Taurus with the Vulcan engine. Double offset, right case size, and the inlet and outlet sizes were 2" just like the stock SHO muffs. They were about $30 each. The sound is just a little quieter than the Summit Turbos.

I noticed a MASSIVE improvement in performance with a new y-pipe... :) (compared to other cars ive done exhaust work to! Im sure my magnaflow y pipe, 2.5 in. mid pipe and 2.25" split into nice flowing mufflers will make a difference.

i noticed a difference in my catback, but then, switching from stock to 2.5" single out is gonna make a little bit of a difference...

I think glasspacks are great resonators for our cars. Though it's been recommended by a couple of people on the forum before that using a magnaflow round muffler instead of glasspacks would be a better option. Glasspack mufflers, I don't know I'm not a fan.

Here's a thread with glasspack muffs, I honestly don't like the way that setup sounds.

I had a feeling this would have been linked in here :snicker:

+1 for the summit turbo mufflers. I have those on my MTX and gave it a pretty nice deep throaty sound.

well the exhaust with the shorty glasspacks sound amazing! no rasp what so ever and it sounds really deep for the sho engine. no rasp through the whole rpm range ill post a vid and pics later.
