Zach: nobody else has said this, so I feel I should: I think this is your first decent, honest thread, and you have conducted yourself in a manner befitting SHOForum members. I therefore congratulate you, and can only ask that you behave the same from here on out! (A few jokes here 'n there are ok, we all make them)

I would add to your reputation, but for some reason the forum says I must "spread some more around" before i can add to it.

well bad news.... i got under the car thinking i might be able to squeez them in there. well it didnt happen. i need a true double offset muffler. so im thinking of a couple options. you said you have heard cb's and they sound pretty good? i cant imagine that. the magnaflow bullet mufflers? the thought of cb as resonator is growing on me. my buddy is willing to sell me some apexi mufflers too. thankyou hawkeye for the compliment

no idea. and actually no, my truck quieted down with the CB glasspack compared to a completely rotted out stock exhaust can. my Truck is really not all that loud at all.

I installed a big CB muffler as a resonator on a friend's car, and it really helped quiet it down and deepen the tone. At WOT it was nearly as loud though, just slightly less rasp. It was $30 new at the store, so I'd say it was definitely worth it. This wasn't on a SHO, though, so YMMV.

I think glasspacks are great resonators for our cars. Though it's been recommended by a couple of people on the forum before that using a magnaflow round muffler instead of glasspacks would be a better option. Glasspack mufflers, I don't know I'm not a fan.

Here's a thread with glasspack muffs, I honestly don't like the way that setup sounds.

And BTW, this isn't Zach's first quality thread, though I commend him for this one... http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=105966 :thumb:

Pretty much. Exhausts and oil brands are a few of the things that nobody has ever been able to reach a consensus on. It's all up to you and what you think sounds good... if you like the bees farting in a can sound, then more power to you... not saying you do, but you get the point.

You will never get it to sound like a V8. That's because it is not a V8. It can never have the deep burble of a big-displacement motor. I guess that's just its ricer heritage shining through...
