How hard is it to replace valve seals or valve guides in a 90 SHO w/out removing the heads? I think my valve seals are bad.

My total engine rebuild is complete +2 years in running mode and Im getting increasing blue smoke at start up in the am. Just started. My oil consumption prior to seeing the blue smoke consistently was about 3/4 of a qt every 1000 miles.

Not bad. It may now be worse .... havent checked it. I did a complete engine rebuild on this motor but didnt touch the valve guides.

Three things ... how hard is it and how do you do it and where do you get the parts ?

HELP !

It took me around 2.5days to get it done and the use of an air compressor. It is ******* the back.

There is no way that I know of to replace valve guides without removing the head.

The good news is that I have never seen a worn valve guide on a SHO head. I have seen a couple that have slipped down some, but nothing you couldn't move back into place and stake better so they stayed.
