I was replacing the thermostat and broke the upper stud in the thermo housing. After taking off the intake manifold I realized this stud was threaded into the housing SO with a pair of small vice grips I unthreaded from the housing. Does anyone know if I can buy just the stud and a new nut from the dealer ? ? Or where else I could get one ?

I think Steve meant to search the SHOforum for info from other members with the same problem. Have a look here and here for starters (searched using "thermostat housing stud").

The search feature on this website is a great help. My post count stays quite low since I can find most info I need by searching before asking. I do try to help where I can though! thumb

Good luck!
