With another SHO.

Bought my 2011 a little over 3 years ago with just over 100K miles, it will pass 168K miles tomorrow on the way to the dealer. I'm going to hang onto it and hopefully will pass 170K and then sell it.

The one I'm picking up tomorrow is a 2015 with 36K miles, black with the 10 spoke wheels, NAV, BLIS, driver assist package and most importantly I'm getting massaging seats into my life.

If anyone in ohio/Indiana area is looking for a good deal on one, let me know. I feel like I have been watching every car within 200 miles of me for sale for six months now. I almost went with a 2015 CPO near Indianapolis that was listed at $22K, but just couldn't bring myself to buy a silver one.

I'll probably be selling my old one for about 5-6K once I get the downpipes moved over.

Congrats on the new ride, 5-6K is a nice price for a well-cared-for SHO.

This is all I got from your post! I take great offense to this! ;) I'm just givin ya some $hit!
But let me tell you, I've owned all kinds of colors from red, black, green, charcoal-gray, etc. But I have to say I think my Silver SHO is my favorite of all now! Ford's Ingot Silver is just incredible - when I see other silver cars parked next to mine I'm amazed at how pure silver it is and has a great metallic shine. The other "silver," cars show some blue, purple, or pinkish hues to them. It also does a great job of blending the chrome into the overall scheme and the black trim and black wheels has a great contrast. AND it stays clean - or appears to stay clean a lot longer!
I think white would be the world's most boring color! (I only said this to get a reaction out of bpd1151!) His car is frickin awesome.
ANYWAY, rant is over - congrats on new car!

I have seen a couple silver ones in the facebook group that are nice looking, it just isn't my color. 90% of my cars thru life have either been black or red, and I'm not all that open to change. I was actually really close to pulling the trigger on a white one just for the sake of change, but it didn't overwhelm me when I looked at it and the dealer instead of negotiating on their overpriced car that had been sitting on their lot for 90 days went with the tactic of telling me the price was going up $500 at midnight. Bunch of jagoffs, I told them it would be sitting on their lot another 90 days.

Anyhow, picked it up at lunch today. Dealer was awesome. I was in and out with all paperwork signed in 15 minutes. That's a new record for me.

Only negatives so far are it feels slow, hoping to remove downpipes from old one this weekend and return it to stock so I can move the tune over to this one. Also on the drive home I discovered the previous owner did the VTA "mod". Not a fan of that sound so I will be returning that back to how it should be very soon.

I'm not sure how I've lived this long driving cars without massaging seats, but from here on out all future cars of mine will have that option. Hahahaha!

Question for anyone that has the massaging seats. Are they supposed to both work at the same time? I didn't mess with it much, but it seemed like only one would work at a time and the other one would be greyed out on the screen. Just wondering if that is normal.

On my 2010, only one section works at any given time.

The back and bottom both work at the same time on mine, but if the driver seat is on the passenger seat is not, and vice versa.

There is only one pump to run the back and the cushion. They alternate between the two from my understanding. And u believe they only run for 20 minuets? at a time?

Maybe it was alternating and I just didn't notice it, that's possible. Mine stayed on the entire 2 hr drive back

It's possible that they were alternating and I just didn't notice it. My seat kept massaging the entire 2 hour drive back from the dealer. My issue is that it does seem like the driver and passenger seat can both massage at the same time. One or the other is greyed out. I looked at the owner's manual last night, but despite being close to 300 pages, there doesn't seem to be info on the things I was looking for in it.

Power Lumbar With Cushion and Backrest Massage (14-Way Seat)

NOTE: Allow a few seconds for any switched lumbar or massage selection to activate.

NOTE: Lumbar air bladder deflation is normal before starting backrest massage.

The system contains the following serviceable components:

  • Power lumbar with massage assembly, attached to each front seat backrest
    • includes the lumbar control module, air pump, 3 inflatable air bladders and hoses
  • Seat cushion massage assembly, attached to each front seat cushion
    • includes 4 inflatable air bladders and hoses
  • Seat control switch, attached to the cushion side shield
Vehicles equipped with front power lumbar and massage may also be referred to as a multi-contour seat or 14-way seat. The seat control switch commands the system.
Seat Control Switch with Power Lumbar and Massage
SEF~us~en~file=N0103759_250.JPG~gen~ref.JPG

SEFusenfileN0103759 250 JPGgenref

Item Description
1 Massage control button
2 Lumbar air bladder control button
3 Seat track control button
4 Recline control button

  • Push button 1:
    • forward for cushion massage or rearward for backrest massage
    • either way to turn off the massage
  • Push button 2:
    • up or down to select top, middle or bottom lumbar air bladder
    • forward to inflate or rearward to deflate a lumbar air bladder; hold the button until the desired pressure is reached (each bladder must be selected and inflated/deflated individually)
    • forward or rearward while the cushion or backrest massage is on and the massage will turn off
  • Push button 3:
    • in any of 6 positions to adjust the seat track
  • Push button 4:
    • forward or rearward to adjust the backrest
When massage is selected, one bladder at a time inflates and deflates in the backrest or cushion. The backrest and cushion massage cannot operate at the same time. Backrest or cushion massage times out after 20 minutes.

When the backrest massage is turned off, the lumbar control will default to the middle bladder. If unsure which bladder is being controlled, 2 pushes up or down will always select the top or bottom bladder. The lumbar bladders can hold pressure while the cushion massage is on. After turning the backrest massage off, the pressure in each of the lumbar bladders will automatically return to their previous pressures before the massage was turned on, as long as voltage and ground remain at the module. Lumbar pressures will automatically reset after temperature fluctuations or when the vehicle has been turned off for a while.

When the backrest or cushion massage is on and the engine is turned off, the system will turn off and the module will not bleed off pressure in the bladders that are inflated. When the vehicle is turned on again, the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) defaults to off and deflates all bladders that were being used in the previous massage cycle. If the backrest massage was on when the engine was turned off, the pressure in each of the lumbar bladders will automatically return to their previous pressures before the massage was turned on.

When the cushion massage is turned off with the seat control switch, the bladders will deflate. The cushion bladders cannot be selected to hold pressure individually like the backrest bladders.

Refer to the Owner's Literature for additional information.

Power Lumbar With Cushion and Backrest Massage

Each front seat functions independently of each other. The lumbar control module is located in the seat backrest. The system will function only with the engine running. The lumbar control module does not report DTCs and does not communicate on the CAN . The button pushed on the seat control switch will determine what function the module will carry out. When an individual circuit is switched to voltage, the lumbar control module will carry out a function.

The pump supplies air pressure through a hose to the lumbar control module. The module then directs the air through multiple hoses to the appropriate cushion or backrest pillow.

Ha Manu!

I was gonna post nearly the exact same thing last night, but fell asleep with the new puppy in my lap.

The system actually DOES TIMEOUT after 20 minutes.

And that each section DOES OPERATE independently of each other.

I remember actually having read that in the O.M. & even dug out mine last night, when the pup started yap'n he needed to go outside.

Too funny. Great minds think alike my friend!

Had to read thru the post to confirm "new puppy" was not a reference to something else, LOL.

I'm glad I read all of this because I've assumed this after having my SHO for the past 2 months, but its nice to see conformation that only 1 can work at a time. I did have only 1 time where some how the seat had some type of glitch, and both the cushion massage as well as the back massage were massaging at the same time. It was really nice, I'm not sure why Ford made it not an option to have both at the same time

It was not a reference to anything else.

Had to put our oldest Husky down in February. She almost made it to 15 years. The other, 2nd Husky (a rescue) who just turned 1 year last week, was lonely and needed a new play pal.

So we rescued a Shephered/Hound/Lab mix. The new pup is now 3 mo.'s old. Wife didn't want to do another Husky as having to euthanize the oldest, was excruciating on both of us.

They get along incredibly well together. Alrighty then, back to the topic at hand.

Sorry to hear about Ms. Husky, Mike, but glad you were able to do a rescue and the 2 are getting along like pigs in a blanket!

Yes, both of mine work at the same time.
