I dont get it but changing the battery fixed like all my driveability issues and bov issues. Looks better on datalog also with no change but battery. Didnt fix my whining rear wheel bearing though
Since you don't drive your SHO everyday, get a battery tender. The battery and the car will be happier.

Yea that would be a good idea, in all reality i should have one on all my vehicles.
Thinking of reflashing my Ghost cam and crackle ajp tune to see if it runs better. I havent seen my idle this steady, within 20-30rpm since i bought the car.

Might as well. I haven't reflashed my mine back on since my plug and coil change. I might too.

I've always removed the batteries when I had them on the battery tenders (for my wave-runners), can you connect it with the battery on the vehicle?

Yes you can. Battery tenders have a dedicated pigtail you connect to the battery. It then becomes plug and play.

I flashed back to ghostcam. It still acts up like it did before, so i just flashed to the normal tune again.
The Ghost cam is cool idling. However in gear idling at a stop light, or just trying to creep through a parking lot...geez.

yes you can replace your sho battery. but i would suggest you not to do that , like how many times you will replace your battery, instead of that try to recondition/revive your battery. i also encountered lots of issue from my battery, after researching i got this guide which helped me alot to revive my battery.

Anyone have issues getting their positive battery terminal "clamp" to release? Mine seems stuck because of battery corrosion.

Mine was alittle stuck. Unplug the connector from the whole positive wireblock. Should be towards the fender at the terminal. Then loosen the clamp bolt and find something to gently pry up on it. Helps for that connector to be unpluged but it dosnt have to be

Hijacking this thread for my own battery question if you don't mind.

Does anyone know where to grab an OEM negative battery terminal? Mine is in rough shape from corrosion and even after a thorough cleaning I'd feel better replacing it. I can only find the positive terminals online or the $350 package from Ford for the entire assembly.

I've tried three different "universal marine terminals" from your every day auto parts store and none fit the OEM wire & adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for resurecting an old thread, but I had been reading up on batteries.... and then the latest cold snap just killed my battery, which I knew needed replacement.

So, today I put a new battery in, with good CCA and reserve -so many things suddenly work better -even properly, which I didn't know they weren't before. The idle IS massively smoother, the turbos are better, PSI is up, BOV much smoother. The seat memory works every time, when I had just decided I needed to pull the module and replace it because it wouldn't always activate all functions. The engine just sounds... better. Leaner. Meaner.

I'm pretty amazed at the importance of a good battery in this car; and not unashamed for letting mine get to the point a 20 deg cold snap could **** it.

Get a battery if you think you need one. Even if you plan on upgrading later. I didn't get the smaller form factor, high end battery I wanted. But I got a good one that I won't feel bad about. Now, the car is ready for me to work on more of the various little things I want to do.
