Replacing a Tailight?

My driver's side tail light must have taken a punch in a parking lot because it's cracked bad. I bought a replacement which I should get in the mail soon, but try as I might I can't find a procedure for replacing the tail light assembly. It's not in my Chilton's manual and I can't find it in the Ford manuals.

Has anyone ever replaced a driver's side tail light assembly? Can someone send me the procedure? Are there any gotchas I need to look out for?

You have to unscrew or remove the liner pins, peel back the liner (be careful because it will crack) and then you can access the nuts for the tail lights.
Also, most trunk leaks are due to water infiltration around the tail light housings.

Its honestly not that bad man, there are some bolts on the inside of the trunk that will let you take it out. Its very straight forward and im sure you can do it if you go take a look i have faith in you Sorry i dont have any pictures to post or i would.

There is a gooey gasket behind the assembly and it will either stay on the car or come off with the tail light housing. You many need to take a putty knife or scraper to scrape the gasket off the back of the tail light housing and put it back on the body.
The gooey gasket also makes you use more force than you would consider necessary to separate the two things.

I just ended up using RTV on mine.
