Replacement MAF for an 89

I did some searching but found conflicting responses on what the answer is. I think the MAF has gone bad on my 89 and needs to be replaced. All other G1's and G2's seem to share the same MAF part number except for the 89 (in mine it is E9ZF-12B579-AA). Is there really a separate MAF specific to this year or are they interchangeable with the other MAF's? To me it seems odd that this one year would have a different MAF then all the other years so I figured I would ask. My concern is that if I order a part online from someone it would be the more common one and not the one specific for the 89.
