Replaced the slicers with Borbets today.[pics]

I purchased some used 16" Borbets, 15 pounds each and 7 and a half wide now I really need the 96 brake upgrade as these really expose the brakes compared to the slicers.

I was thinking of getting those rims way back when before I found Kirk's wheels. Very nice wheels and they fit your car perfectly Tony!

Looks awesome like usual :thumb:

Thanks for the compliments, yesterday I was still kind of up in the air on the look as I missed the total white look, but today I would never go back.

The car has a lower stance, grips much better on twistees and this part i don't understand, the car seems like it was lowered more in front as I have much less fenderwell gap, I'm using the same tires I was running on the slicers.

Looks great Tony!!

Aftermarket wheels make such a huge impact on a cars appearance, you've definately made a good choice. :thumb:

Is that why you change your rims every 6 months or so? :p

Well, it's cheaper than buying a new car every year. :finger:

I think the lower stance is just your imagination.

Not really.....if you think about it. A wider rim will allow the tire to spread out more instead of being "bunched up" like it would be on a narrow rim. So by all rights, it should give it a bit lower stance. :thumb:

Tony, those rims look 100 times better than they ever did on my car, I dont get it!!! I'm glad you like them... Do you have lowering springs, etc.. on your car? I definitely thought it looked lower than before!

Yeah, the car has intrax springs, I and my stepson both say it is lower at least an inch.

I have alot of suspension mods all I need now is to install aluminum subframe bushings that I have here in a box and replace the KYB gr-2s with Tokicos and I pretty much have every available suspension mod, the wider rims give the car a great road feel, I love it.
