Replace Capacitive touch for actual buttons

I have a 2015 Sho with the Sony sound system, sounds great but I do have one glaring issue.
I absolutely hate the touch controls for the radio and especially the climate control, so annoying to sitting there with my hand on the button to change the temp
Also not a fan that I have to look down while driving to make sure I’m even touching the correct “button”
Was wondering if it was possible to replace that panel with one from a different Taurus, non SHO

Hmmm. Interesting question.

Part of the reason I never purchased a newer SHO, because I too, was never a fan of the touch controls myself on the '13+ model years. For all the reasons you define.

That said, I do recall some chatter, albeit a few years back now, of a company offering a full blown like 10" screen conversion.....

It was a company from overseas offering it. Asian market IIRC. But the couple of initial reviews posted were not very positive.

Lot of connectivity and user issues. That said, it was still in the end...... another touch screen.


I'm sure where there's a will, there's way. But what that work around may be, IDK.

Ditto, my SHO is a '12 and I can't wait to get back into it whenever I drive my wife's '14 SEL.
