Removing Wiper Arms

Can someone please explain to me how to remove the windshield wiper arms from the base of the windshield. Mine are getting worn and i would want them repainted.

Cant be easier , move the arm towards you (couple inches) , pull the little clip that next to the coupling (while the arm in the air) , and the arm should hold itself in the air , once thats done , the arm should be pulled easily (towards exterior)
